Cantilever Shelving is an ideal storage solution for long, bulky, or irregularly shaped items that cannot be easily stored on standard pallet racks. It consists of upright columns with horizontal cantilever arms extending from one or both sides. This open-front design eliminates obstructions, allowing forklifts or overhead cranes to access goods directly without interference. The structure is robust and stable, with high load-bearing capacity and excellent space utilization. Cantilever arms are available in fixed or adjustable configurations, and can be customized in length, capacity, and height to suit various material handling requirements. Common applications include storage of steel bars, pipes, lumber, aluminum profiles, and plastic pipes in industries such as construction, manufacturing, and metal processing.

Cantilever racks are ideal for storing long materials, rings, plates, pipes, and irregularly shaped goods. They are available in single-sided or double-sided configurations and feature a stable structure, excellent load-bearing capacity, and high space utilization. The system is constructed by mounting cantilever arms onto upright columns. The cantilevers can be either fixed or adjustable. Cantilever racks are particularly suitable for pipes, plates, and profiles that cannot be easily stored on standard pallet racks. They are widely used in the machining and building materials supermarket industries.

Goods can be accessed using forklift trucks, cranes, or manually. For manual handling, the rack height is typically limited to 2.0 meters, while forklift access allows heights of up to 5 meters. The standard cantilever length is generally within 1.0 meter, and the load capacity per arm is usually up to 1000 kg. Based on load capacity, cantilever racks are classified into light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty types.

Column Uprights: Each upright consists of a column and a base. The column is formed by welding two cold-rolled C-section channels face-to-face. This structure fully utilizes the material’s strength, resulting in a lightweight design with strong load-bearing capacity and low manufacturing cost. It is both economical and aesthetically pleasing, making it a common structural choice. The columns feature double rows of punched holes, allowing the cantilever arms to be adjusted up and down to accommodate different storage heights.

Cantilever Arms: Each arm is welded from a column connector and the arm profile. The arm profile is made of two specially designed cold-rolled unequal C-shaped channels welded together. This construction offers the advantages of light weight, high load-bearing capacity, and low cost. A specially designed safety pin secures the column connector to the column, ensuring reliable attachment.
