Drive-in Racking
Read moreThrough-type shelving, also known as drive-in or corridor-type shelving, adopts a pallet access mode and is suitable for storing goods with small variety but large quantities. Since the forklift needs to enter the interior of the rack to access the goods, it is generally recommended that for single-sided access, the depth should not exceed 5 rack positions. In the same footprint, the storage capacity of through-type shelving is almost double that of conventional pallet racks. This is because the aisles between rows are eliminated and the bays are combined, allowing goods on the same level to be stored continuously. This design significantly maximizes storage capacity utilization. Through-type shelving is widely used for storing large-volume, low-variety goods. These goods are typically uniformly packaged and have a single product specification, making them ideal for warehouses in industries such as food, tobacco, and cold storage.
