If the shelves are made of wood, those near windows are likely to be hit by wind‑blown rain; the wooden boards will warp and bulge after absorbing moisture. Therefore, drainage and dehumidification should be carried out frequently.
2. Anti‑collision protection
Installing bollards plays a significant role in protecting the racking uprights. Bollards should be fitted according to the racking specifications, aisle width and handling equipment, and guardrails should be set up in passageway areas to minimize forklift knocks as much as possible.
3. Overload prevention
Different types of racking are designed for specific load capacities. The weight of goods placed on the racking must not exceed the allowable limit.
